When looking for a great mild cigar that won’t break the bank you should look no further than the Alec Bradley 1633. I recently bought this cigar and here is the Alec Bradley 1633 Ultimate Cigar Review. As always every review is honest and with sincerity. I hope you enjoy this review.
As you can tell when you look at the box of the cigar there is great packaging. I bought this box of cigars after finding them at the Famous Smoke Shop, which you can find here. I smoked an Alec Bradley previously but just could not remember the cigar as a friend gave it to me. So when I was looking for a new box to put in the humidor Alec Bradley came to mind. So I found the 1633 cigars and bought the toro as that is my favorite.
The Beginning
I opened the box that not only held the Alec Bradley 1633, but some other cigars I will review later. Check out my cigar reviews here. The box is perfectly humidified and fresh when opened. The cigars are placed so nice and neatly in the box with this great looking turquoise color wrapper. The smell is of nice tobacco and mild. Not a harsh smell like the tobacco is bad but a real nice smooth and mellow smell.
An interesting note is that the Alec Bradley cigars are named after the sons of a cigar maker. They have been around for many years and have great ratings. This particular cigar has an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper. The binder and filler is from Nicaragua. The cigar is labeled as a medium to mild cigar. It is worth every penny as this cigar is not very expensive as it is about $5 per stick.
Alec Bradley 1633 Ultimate Review - The First Half
The cigar is cut with a double guillotine cutter and makes a nice smooth cut as the blades are sharp and the tobacco is humidified nicely. The burning of the foot was done with a Vertigo flame thrower that you can find here if you do not have one. It makes a nice burn melding the the wrapper to the binder and nice red foot to smoke. From the first puff you can taste a mild woody flavor with a mix of cashews. There is some mild smoke but this one is not too smokey and not too harsh to the palate. A very nice beginning.
The first third of the cigar smokes evenly without any relighting. The flavor is good and smooth. Not a lot of smoke and the ash is holding tight on the end of the cigar. I am enjoying this cigar with a nice coffee. I roast my own coffee beans and todays roast is Costa Rican Dota Estate that is roasted to a nice dark city roast. It is made with my Jura coffee maker that does a fresh grind with every cup. Just a nice mix with the cigar.
Alec Bradley 1633 Ultimate Review - The Second Half
The middle of the cigar does not disappoint either. It continues with this mild wood flavor and not so much Cashew flavor to me. It turns to a little stronger flavor but not too strong. I am tasting some mild pepper and the smoke is not harsh.
In the end as the cigar was burning down to the wrapper it was just as smooth as the middle. I did not notice any burn to the cigar. Nor did I notice a tar flavor on the palate. It was a delight to smoke and was a very smooth cigar. Therefore, I believe this to be a great cigar for your humidor. It is a nice smooth cigar with great flavor nuances that make you happy you enjoyed this cigar and the Alec Bradley 1633 Ultimate Cigar Review. You can get this great cigar at Famous Smoke Shop here.
All the best,
